Ready Set Go to Kindergarten

Dr. Seuss in the Classroom

Nicolle Bellmore Pierse - Tuesday, March 03, 2020

In case you missed it, Dr. Seuss' Birthday or also known as, National Read Across America Day, happened on March 2!  Although the actual date has come and gone, there is no reason why you cannot incorporate this throughout this week.  Dr. Seuss showed the importance of early readers and exposing challenging situations to youth.  Every day a child should experience contact with a book or a story or something along those lines.  Whether it be at school or at home, it is so important to expose young children to the gift of reading.  So grab a book and create a memorable experience sometime this week, even if it does not involve Dr. Seuss! Below is a link to the Seussville website that shows easy ways to get Dr. Seuss related activities in the classroom.

Happy Reading!
